Watch Care Guide

A beautiful watch deserves a little care. With simple, occasional attention, your Aurelle will keep its shine, its accuracy, and its beauty for many years to come. Here's everything you need to know.

Everyday Care

  • Wipe the case and bracelet gently with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dust, oils, and fingerprints.
  • For a steel bracelet, you may occasionally use a slightly damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. Never use abrasive cleaners or rough cloths.
  • Put your watch on after applying perfume, lotion, hairspray, or makeup, these can dull the finish and affect the seals over time.
  • Remove your watch before sleeping to protect both the watch and yourself from knocks during the night.

Caring for Sapphire Crystal

Every Aurelle features a sapphire crystal, one of the most scratch-resistant materials in watchmaking. It will stay clear and beautiful with almost no effort. Simply wipe it with a soft cloth to keep it sparkling. While sapphire resists scratch exceptionally well, it can still chip under a very hard, direct impact, so avoid knocking it against hard surfaces.

Water Resistance

Aurelle watches carry a water-resistance rating of 3ATM (30m) or 5ATM (50m), depending on the model. This protects against everyday moisture; rain, splashes, and hand-washing but is not designed for swimming, showering, or bathing.

  • Never operate the crown; the small winding dial while the watch is wet, as this can allow water inside.
  • Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
  • Remove your watch before swimming, showering, hot tubs, saunas, or watersports.
  • If your watch is exposed to salt water, wipe it gently with a damp cloth and dry it.

Water resistance is measured when a watch is new and naturally lessens over time as seals age. Treat it as protection against everyday moisture rather than a license to submerge.

Caring for a Ceramic Bracelet

Our signature Céleste features a genuine ceramic bracelet. Ceramic is hypoallergenic, lightweight, and beautifully smooth, but like all ceramic it can crack or chip if dropped onto a hard surface. Handle it with care, set it down gently, and clean it with a soft, slightly damp cloth.

Storage

  • When you're not wearing your Aurelle, keep it in its box or a soft pouch to protect it from dust and scratches.
  • Store it away from direct sunlight, extreme heat, and humidity, all of which can affect the movement and finish over time.
  • Keep your watch away from strong magnets; speakers, tablet covers, and magnetic clasps as magnetism can affect timekeeping.

Battery & Servicing

Your Aurelle is powered by a precise quartz movement. The battery typically lasts two to three years and can be replaced by any local jeweller or watch service. Battery replacement and routine servicing are considered normal maintenance and are not covered under warranty. We recommend having the water resistance re-checked whenever the case is opened for a battery change.

A Few Things to Avoid

  • Extreme temperatures and sudden temperature changes.
  • Harsh chemicals, solvents, and cleaning agents.
  • Hard knocks, drops, and impacts.
  • Wearing your watch in water beyond its rated resistance.
